Western International School (WIS) is
a private secondary school located
in the heart of Phnom Penh. We offer
an American English
curriculum to average Cambodian
students from grades K to 12. Our
qualified staff members and teachers
are mostly from
the United States, Canada, and other
English speaking countries. We focus
on delivering to Cambodian students
basic knowledge of English language,
western social and economical
development and standards, and advanced
science and technology.
The school opened in September of
2003. With the capacity of 600
students, the three-story building
consists of 18 classrooms, a
computer lab, a science lab, a
cafeteria, a library for students
research, and several offices for
teachers and staff
members.
WIS was originally established by
three well educated Cambodian
foreigners. With the help and
support from our highly qualified
staffs, we are committed to maintain
the international standard of
education. Our purpose is to rebuild the
Cambodian educational system which
in turn will strengthen Cambodian
social and economical
development.
Our students enjoy the
atmosphere and environment around the
school yard. The cafeteria is designed
for student's gathering, group studying,
having launch, and socializing. During
recess, younger students can enjoy the
playground right inside the school yard.

Our library and
computer lab facilities allow students
to perform some independent studies and
research. Students can spend time
reading and studying in the library
during launch time or break. Books can
also be signed out with proper student
ID.
