The school year runs from September to June for all grades. School programs are  divided into three main levels.

  1. Elementary School: grades 1 - 6

  2. Junior High School: grades 7 - 9

  3. High School: grades 10 - 12

Students are required to write an exit examination to graduate from one level and move on the next. In addition, students in Junior High and High School must earn a certain number of credits to be eligible to write exit examination. See registration guide for more details.

Note: Those students who fail a certain course will not have to repeat school the whole year, but just the particular course that he/she fails.

What are credits?

Credits are our systematic points that are rewarded for the successful completion of a course with a minimum grade of 50%. Credits can be earned only once in any one class.

What are prerequisites?

A prerequisite course is one that is successfully completed before proceeding to the next level of that subject. For example, you must pass Math 10 with a minimum mark of 50% before you can take math 11. Therefore Math 10 is a pre-requisite for Math 11.

How are our school courses numbered?

Courses are numbered so that all Grade 10 classes are numbered in the 10’s.
For example Math 10, Khmer 10, and English 10 are all in Grade 10.
In Grade 11, the classes are numbered in the 11’s. For example: Physics 11, Math 11, and so on.
